Happy Father's Day
For All The Dads Out There
X-Rays
Elizabeth was on her IV when we got there last night. Like I mentioned in Cribs, she won’t be able to have any food by mouth for a few days. What’s funny is that she clearly is upset that she isn’t getting any food, even though it wasn’t by mouth.
Fortunately, they’ve done several x-rays and haven’t seen anything concerning. That seems to indicate some type of sensitivity to something she was eating. It may have been the HMF that was being added to the breastmilk. Hopefully when we start reintroducing breastmilk she won’t have any reaction. At that point they’ll use a different fortifier that doesn’t have the dairy proteins that the HMF has. Worst case, we’ll have to use a special formula instead of breastfeeding. A little disappointing, but healthy babies are what we want.
Father’s Day
When we showed up this morning, they had put together a nice little Father’s Day picture for each of the girls. Don’t be alarmed by Aspen’s moustache, the pictures are a few days old.
And for all you dad’s out there: HAPPY FATHER’S DAY.
